Just a thought..........
NYC

I’m here! It was a 7 hr train ride that was very enjoyable. Lots of leg space, reclining seats and very quiet. Train etiquette is very different. It felt very community. Everyone sitting together…. eating, talking. When I got out of Penn station, I was in complete shock. All the lights & people. It was sensory overload. Some Russian offered to give us a ride to the hotel in his van. Nope.

I spent yesterday walking the kids around Times Square. Lego store, Nintendo shop, Toys R Us……you name it we were there. My legs feel like rubber. I went to Duane Reade for beer & a few other things and carried the freaking sack for I don’t know how many blocks, only to pass a Walgreen’s very close to the hotel. Go figure!

Our waiter from last night was from St.louis. He asked where we were from. I always tell people the closest city because NO ONe knows my small village. He asked, is that near ********? (my village!) Oh my God! He said he was there over the summer for a dance program that the local college offers. What a small world, I love it!

Today off to the museum! xo
